What is Anionic polyacrylamide (CPAM) ?

How does PAM work?


Flocculation: PAM adeptly facilitates the agglomeration of suspended materials using charge neutralization and bridge adsorption, significantly advancing flocculation processes.
Adhesion: PAM intensifies adhesion and interaction through an intricate combination of mechanical, physical, and chemical effects, ensuring superior performance.

Flocculation principle: In flocculation, PAM's interaction with floc surface properties-such as dynamic electromagnetics, pH, viscosity, and turbidity affected by surface zeta potential-is pivotal. By introducing oppositely charged PAM, potential is decreased, and cohesion is enhanced.
Adsorption bridging: PAM molecular chains strategically anchor onto diverse particle surfaces, forming a bridge between polymer particles which facilitates aggregate formation and settlement.
